We are actively recruiting a team of professional, driven experts to join Linesight and help us deliver outstanding projects for our clients. Frankfurt has established itself as one of the biggest data centre hubs in Europe, offering excellent connectivity for hyperscale and colocation data centre providers, and is continuing to attract major global investment.

 

As a Senior M&E Cost Manager at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and talented teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. You will gain vast industry experience that will open doors for you, extend your skillset and expand your perspective.


In this role you will: 

  • Perform Mechanical and Electrical estimations, tender evaluations and onsite cost controls.
  • Optimise project costs, implement value engineering and ensure value for money whilst still achieving the highest standards and quality.
  • Provide commercial and contract support throughout the project.
  • Produce cost plans/estimates to provide client detailed budgets.
  • Ensure initial cost plans are sufficient to carry out the works.
  • Analyse tenders to ensure value for money and that the works have been procured at the best market rates.
  • Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner. 
  • Close out commercial, change orders and contract issues.
  • Perform interim valuations to ensure subcontractor payments are correct and made in a timely manner.
  • Forecast and monitor cash flow/accruals to ensure a positive cash flow is maintained, liaising with the client’s financial team.
  • Assist in the reparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken.
  • Produce cost analysis feedback/lessons learned to the client for future works.

We would love to hear from you if you: 

  • Have extensive experience in Mechanical and Electrical pre- and post-contract  cost management on varied projects, experience in Data Centre ​projects would be preferable.
  • Have a degree or comparable experience in a cost management or construction discipline.
  • Are fluent in English language, both orally and in written. German language would be preferable.
  • Are located in Frankfurt or willing to commute bi-monthly within Germany to Frankfurt. Fly-in fly-out from Ireland or the UK is also possible.
  • Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun.
