Linesight provided cost management, procurement, project management and PSDP services for 20 Kildare street, a landmark office building located at the epicentre of Dublin’s Georgian quarter.
The vision was to create office space unifying Georgian elegance with contemporary architectural design. This project represents an excellent example of a brown to green office deep retrofit, which has been sympathetically linked to a new seven storey building to the rear.
The award winning, 20 Kildare street emphasises how modern sustainable construction and historic preservation can come together to creatively repurpose buildings for the modern age, and yet retain the historic fabric of localities.
The development involved converting four protected Georgian structures, measuring 1,000+ sq.m. into modern office accommodation, connected to 5,050+ sq.m. of new modern office space on seven levels over basement parking, via a triple height light filled, triple glazed atrium.
