Stokes Place is the headquarters of KPMG in Ireland, and the client sought to both modernise and maximise the use of their existing office space, through an extensive re-fit project, while still maintaining a clean, safe and noise free working environment for their staff.

Project features

The works encompassed both internal and external elements, with all office areas being refurbished to a high standard, new furniture installed throughout, a new staff restaurant, works to the building fabric and roof, and a reconfiguration and upgrade of the external landscaping.

KPMG required that the campus remain fully functional, with minimal impact on day-to-day business activities. Through close discussion with KPMG, Linesight agreed a detailed refurbishment programme for the works over ten phases. Although this slightly prolonged the overall duration of the works, it minimised the impact on practice groups and allowed the establishment of a swing space into which groups could be located while their floors were refurbished.

Linesight provided full project management services on the project from inception through handover.

Project outcomes

  • Through effective project management Linesight met the client’s objectives to maintain a fully functional office throughout the project
  • The works were undertaken to a very high standard, within a tightly controlled budget
  • The working environment, client experience, restaurant and external landscaping were all improved significantly
