Linesight is supporting a confidential Food and Beverage client on their first carbon-neutral distillery facility, providing Cost Management and Procurement services. Sitting on 400 acres, the new facility will have the capacity to produce 20 million LAAs (liters of absolute alcohol) annually and will include a distillery, as well as blending and warehousing operations, with a possibility for future expansion. The new distillery will supplement the company’s existing manufacturing operations in the region and support its growth ambitions for its top-selling brand.
Recognizing the importance of low-carbon for a sustainable future, this global beverage company puts sustainability at the center of this facility’s design and development plans. It will feature resource efficiency technologies and will operate with 100% renewable energy to ensure the new distillery is carbon neutral and zero-waste to landfill from all direct operations.
Designed in a way that allows for seamless future expansion, the project also incorporates many innovative features. Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) technology will reduce evaporation energy by 90% and sometimes more. Adiabatic cooling, when compared to a conventional cooling tower system, will facilitate lower water consumption, helping preserve the area’s water resources.
Once operational, the new facility will bring a positive economic impact to the local community, furthering the company’s commitment to generosity and giving back.
