With staff originally located in two buildings in New York, the client's objective with this project was to bring the staff in these two separate buildings together in one location, at Hudson Yards. Linesight was engaged to deliver a space that encourages collaboration and promotes the client's brand.

Working within the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States

Linesight provided Project and Cost Management services on this new commercial offices fit-out at Hudson Yards. Hudson Yards is the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States, and the largest development in New York City since the Rockefeller Center. This 28-acre development is changing the landscape of the city. Constructed over a working rail yard, two 'platforms' bridge more than 30 active train tracks, three rail tunnels and the new Gateway Tunnel.

The project consisted of the construction of a three level office space with conference rooms, executive offices and break out spaces. We were involved in the project through project feasibility and lease negotiations, to construction completion and financial close.

Executing an aggressive schedule

  • The schedule for this project was extremely aggressive
  • From the outset, we ensured that there was a clear project execution plan in place that sequenced construction in a way to ensure the space was TCO (Temporary Certificate of Occupancy) ready, well in advance of the client’s move date
  • This approach ensured that the end date was achieved within the constraints of an exceptionally tight schedule
