Overlooking the world-famous Central Park, this was an exciting project whereby the client undertook a 15-story, out-of-the-ground residential development. Having worked on a broad range of residential schemes around the world, the Linesight team was appointed on the job.

Linesight successfully provided Project, Cost and Schedule Management services for the construction of this residential development. The project included seven luxury residential duplex units spanning over 40,000sq.ft., and overlooking Central Park at the corner of 63rd St and 5th Avenue.

The site location presented a number of challenges for the team; timelines for approval and permitting from the Landmarks and Department of Buildings needed to be factored into the schedule and actively managed. The site also faced Central Park, which posed restrictions around site access, deliveries and timing of work, and this formed an integral part of the planning process, to minimize disruption during construction and ensure program delivery.

Linesight’s scheduling team highlighted issues with the sequencing of work, which in turn helped the general contractor with their means and methods of construction. Ultimately, this resulted in a six-month saving on schedule and reduced overall development costs in excess of 30% on the original budget.
